Celebrating 40 Years at Hatch

This year we’re proud to celebrate Linda B. on an incredible 40-year milestone with Hatch Stamping.

40 Years of Precision: Celebrating Linda Boyle’s Career at Hatch

“Linda has spent 40 years making sure everything we build measures up—literally.”

That’s how Hatch Stamping’s Vice President of Quality describes Linda Boyle, who is celebrating an incredible 40-year career dedicated to precision, consistency, and craftsmanship.

After decades in Quality on the production floor, Linda now works in Hatch’s metrology lab—using highly advanced equipment capable of measuring details most people can’t even see. And with her depth of experience, there’s a good chance she’s already spotted an issue before the machine does.

“We’re just glad she’s still here keeping us all within tolerance,” he added.

From First Day Nerves to Technical Expertise

Linda began her journey at Hatch in 1986.

“I remember being a little nervous on my first day,” she said. “I didn’t know what a stamping die was—or how to use calipers or micrometers.”

Starting as a Quality Secretary, Linda quickly became curious about the technical side of manufacturing. That curiosity turned into action.

  • She learned how to read blueprints.
  • She learned how to use precision measuring equipment.
  • And before long, she transitioned into a Quality Auditor role—where she would spend many years building deep expertise in inspection and measurement.

Continuing to Grow—Even After 40 Years

Today, Linda continues to expand her skillset in Hatch’s metrology lab, where she works with advanced measurement systems, including programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

“Learning to program the CMM is something I’m really proud of,” she shared. “And I still have more to learn.”

That mindset—always learning, always improving—has been a defining part of her career.

A Front-Row Seat to Growth

Over the past four decades, Linda has seen Hatch evolve in remarkable ways.

“It’s been exciting to see how much the company has expanded in Michigan and across the country,” she said.

From local operations to a growing national presence, Linda has been there through it all—helping ensure quality standards never waver.

What Keeps Someone for 40 Years?

Ask Linda what has kept her at Hatch for so long, and her answer is simple:

“The people I work with.”

Her Metrology Manager echoed that sentiment:

“You must be a model employee to last 40 years at a company. You must be a good team player. That means showing up every day and doing what’s best for the team to succeed—and that’s exactly what Linda does.”

Advice for the Next Generation

Linda’s advice for those entering manufacturing today reflects both experience and practicality:

“It’s an ever-changing business. Stay focused and don’t take shortcuts.”

It’s a reminder that while technology evolves, the fundamentals of hard work, attention to detail, and integrity remain constant.

A Simple Philosophy That Lasts

Over the years, Linda has carried one mindset with her that continues to guide her work and outlook:

“The day is what you make it.”

Life Outside of Hatch

When she’s not ensuring precision at work, Linda enjoys spending time outdoors kayaking and traveling—embracing new experiences just as she has throughout her career.

Celebrating 40 Years

Linda Boyle’s 40-year career is a testament to dedication, continuous learning, and the impact one person can have on a team and an organization.

Her story reflects the very best of manufacturing—growth, craftsmanship, and people who take pride in doing things the right way.

Congratulations, Linda, and thank you for 40 years of helping keep Hatch within tolerance.
